Watch the Hickstead Derby Meeting on H&C

Horse & Country TV is thrilled to be bringing you live coverage of the famous Equestrian.com Derby at Hickstead, as well as three days of livestream coverage via the www.horseandcountry.tv website.

The Equestrian.com Derby is one of the best known showjumping classes in the world, an iconic event which makes heroes of its human and equine stars. Many of showjumping’s biggest names have won over the years, including Harvey Smith, David Broome, John and Michael Whitaker and Ben Maher.

The course itself is as famous as the horses and riders that embark upon it, barely changing in the five decades since the class was first held. Clearing the Devil’s Dyke, the Derby Bank and the double of water ditches remains as tricky today as it always has been.

You can watch the action unfold live on Horse & Country on Sky 253 or via the H&C app on Sunday 28 June from 1pm.

Livestream

In addition to our live coverage of the feature class, the Equestrian.com Derby, viewers from around the world will be able to watch the livestream from the Hickstead Derby Meeting from Friday to Sunday.

The televised and livestream action will be professionally produced by Impact Media with multiple cameras, presenters, features, commentators and interviews.

Timetable

The livestream begins on Friday 26 June at 11.15am and finishes at 5.30pm.The highlights of the day are the The Bunn Leisure Derby Trial – in which riders have to qualify for the Equestrian.com Derby – and the Bunn Leisure Masters Challenge, where riders first jump a course of fences against the clock, and then have to clear a series of ascending white gates.

On Saturday 27 Junethe action will be shown live from 11.30am until 5.30pm. The morning’s feature class is the Tom Hudson Derby Trophy, a world ranking class, while the afternoon’s focus is the British Speed Derby, where riders tackle Hickstead’s famous fences at top speed.

On Sunday 28 June, the action will be shown from 1pm to 5.30pm on both the channel (UK and Ireland only) and on the livestream to viewers worldwide. While the feature class is of course the Equestrian.com Derby, you can also watch the Hickstead Under 25 Masters, the Celebrity scurry and highlights of the British Speed Derby.
