MCI European Dressage Championships come to the UK for first time.

The MCI European Dressage Championships are coming to the UK for the first time, and you can watch the stunning performances on Horse & Country.

Iberian breeds

The Masters du Cheval Iberique (MCI) European Dressage League is exclusively for Iberian horses. Now in its 22nd year, these prestigious Championships have only ever taken place in Europe, but this year they are coming to Bury Farm in Bedfordshire on the 4-11 October.

Iberian Dressage Masters (IDM) is the UK branch of the MCI, which was set up in 2015 to promote Iberian breeds in Britain and ensure better representation at local and national events.

Going for gold!

They have held qualifiers at venues throughout the UK, to find the very best combinations to represent Britain at the MCI European Dressage Championships. Joining them are eight other countries: France, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Sweden.

There are a total of 13 championships, from prelim up to grand prix, with seven Europeans titles up for grabs, plus an overall team title. Last year Britain won silver – so they are going for gold this year!
