Three cobs stolen from Bransby Horses
Three cobs have been stolen from Bransby Horses Rescue and Welfare centre in Lincolnshire.
Padlock cut
The horses were taken from the site during the early hours of this morning (20 February), after the field they were in had the padlock cut.
They were then taken away in a vehicle, although it is not known what transport was used.
There are two coloured stallions, aged between six and seven, and an eight-year-old black gelding. The horses were rescued from neglect last November by the RSPCA and then taken in by Bransby Horses for rehabilitation.
They are currently under veterinary care for various health problems including worms and lice. Barnsby staff are said to be “extremely concerned” and appealing for their safe return.
Tether wound
“The black horse and the coloured are extremely confident and come when you call,” a spokesperson from Bransby told H&C. “The red and white stallion is slightly more nervous. The black gelding also has a scar between his ears from a previous tether wound.”
Anyone with information should call Bransby on 01427 787369 or Lincolnshire police quoting incident number 86/02/15.
