East Kent Hunt Pony Club win Prince Philip Cup at HOYS
After five days of tough competition. the East Kent Hunt Branch of the Pony Club were the outright winners of the Virbac 3D Worming Cup, taking home the prestigious Prince Philip Cup on the final evening at HOYS.
The thrilling finale in Birmingham’s NEC was contested by the four teams – East Kent, Monmouthshire, Oakley Hunt West and Romney Marsh.
Taking home the prize for the first time, the East Kent Hunt team consisting of Brooke Kind, Ellie Tutt, Megan Tutt, Imogen Lyons, Charlotte Giles and Abbie Bean.
The team captivated the crowd as they comfortably defeated the defending mounted games champions Monmouthshire.
East Kent’s travelling support were joyous after the 25 minute non-stop action came to a climax.
“We feel very happy. We all trained so hard. We are like a family,” said winning team member Imogen.
“We are friends with all the other teams, so the atmosphere is really excellent,” she added.
