Watch Team Quest Championships on Horse & Country
The Kent & Masters Team Quest Championships welcomed keen amateur dressage riders from all around the UK – and Horse & Country was there to film the fun and fantastic dressage.
Cheshire Chicks
Team Quest was introduced in 2013 as an antidote to the stuffy image often associated with dressage. It has gone on to become one of the most popular events in the British Dressage calendar and is a great opportunity for riders of all ages and abilities to take part in team competitions.
This year saw the Cheshire Chicks win the Open title at Bury Farm in Buckinghamshire. The team has been to all, but one, of the Quest Championships and this year managed to go one better than their 2017 finish.
Original team member Isobell Maughan (Cracking Opposition) returned alongside team mates Shona Rooney (Tobago Bay) and mother/daughter duo Corrie and Ciara Mclellan who were sharing the ride on Ballastra van de Cumul, after Ciara’s horse went lame.
Norfolk Centreliners were second and just 0.09% ahead of Too Cool to School in third place.
Dressage Divas
In the U21 competition, Connor Sharpe led the way with his Dressage Divas. Connor rode Tomrill and Billy, as did team mate Kate Joyce. The third member Megan Maclean partnered Cherrymount Rainbow.
The Pocket Rockets took the runner-up spot, while the Derbyshire Young Riders were third.
You can watch the Kent & Masters Team Quest Championships in our latest Rudall’s Round-Up on Horse & Country. Jenny was joined by dressage rider Max Nicholson who tried his hand at presenting. They caught all the action and went behind the scenes to meet the riders and their gorgeous horses – great and small.
