African Story wins world’s richest horse race

African Story,trained by Saeed Bin Suroor and ridden by Silvestre de Sousa,won the $10m Dubai World Cup on Saturday – the most valuable race in the world. The seven-year-old is owned by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Ruler of Dubai.

The winner finished 2 1/2-lengths clear of the William Haggas-trained Mukhadram and Paul Hanagan.
