Riders horse around at Wimbledon

With Wimbledon in full swing, two local riders have been inspired by the BBC’s #anyonefortennis and decided to give the sport a go – on horseback.

Gripping

In the one of the most gripping games H&C has seen since Jamie Murray won the mixed doubles in 2007, JenHesketh and Chester took on Fernanda Zuniga and Rocky.

Crowds gathered to watch the riders battle it out on Wimbledon Common. After a thrilling rally Fernanda chipped in a drop shot to win the match.

Leap of faith

“It was a lot of fun and there many spectators cheering them on and people driving by taking videos,” said Wimbledon Village Stables owner Carol Andrews.“The horseswere amazing.After the game had finished they couldn’t resist jumping the net as the grand finale!“
