Golden Horn takes Dettori to a second Derby
Frankie Dettori won the Investec Derby on Saturday (6 June) on the John Gosden-trained Golden Horn.

The final furlong became a battle between pre-race favourite Golden Horn and his stablemate Jack Hobbs, with the former surging clear to win by an eventual three-and-a-half lengths.
It was a second Derby win for both Frankie, who won in 2007 on Authorized, and for John Gosden, who trained the 1997 winner Benny The Dip.
“I probably enjoyedthisoneabit more – I was a bityoung thefirst time,” said Dettori, 44.
Gosden is only the second trainer in Derby history to train both the first- and second-placed horses.
