Pippa Funnell into top 10 on second day of Olympic eventing

Pippa Funnell and Billy The Biz have given Great Britain’s medal hopes a boost with an assured test.

Scoring 43.90 pen, they go into ninth place at this stage, just ahead of New Zealand’s Mark Todd.

Britain now has two riders in the top 10, with William Fox-Pitt still holding the lead. Third team rider Gemma Tattersall is currently in 19th place.

Germany’s third team rider is due into the arena shortly, but meanwhile France are looking extremely strong, with all three of their team riders in the top 10 at this stage.
