Molly Ashe Cawley scores dramatic victory in New York World Cup

USA’s Molly Ashe Cawley has won the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup in New York – claiming her son was her “good luck charm”.

Dramatic victory

Molly Ashe Cawley is a two-time veteran of the World Cup Jumping final. However, her dramatic victory in New York was the biggest win of her career since stepping back from top level sport to raise a family.

Riding D’Arnita, Molly edged out her compatriot Margie Goldstein-Engle (Royce) by just nine-hundredths of a second to claim the title.

Mattias Tromp and Quinta were third, giving the Americans a clean sweep of the podium.

‘Super horse’

“It’s by far her biggest win,” said Molly, of the 10-year old mare. “I hope there are many more to come.

“She’s just a super, super horse. Every time she wins, it means a lot to us. She’s a fighter and class act, and I’m super excited to have her.”
