Gallery: Team GB’s dressage stars at the first trot-up

While all eyes were on the dramatic cross-country phase of the eventing, the horse inspection for the dressage competition was also taking place.

Thankfully, the British quartet of Fiona Bigwood (Atterupgaards Orthilia), Charlotte Dujardin (Valegro), Carl Hester (Nip Tuck) and Spencer Wilton (Super Nova II), plus travelling reserve Lara Griffith (Rubin Al Asad) all sailed through the inspection.

The competition gets underway tomorrow (Wednesday 10 August), with two days of Grand Prix tests, before the Grand Prix Special on Friday. Spencer Wilton and Fiona Bigwood will compete on Wednesday, with Carl Hester and Charlotte Dujardin doing their tests on Thursday.
